So, not sure about the relevance of zombies as a political metaphor? Heard a lot of gumph about Zombies vs Vampires on screen during economic recessions or boom times? (Or when Democrats or Republicans are in the White House?) Think that's a lot of poorly reasoned pop-sociology crap?
I agree. Mostly. But zombies DO have a political angle to them, which is deeper than whatever the "analysis" that you have read on any pop-culture blogs. Here is where we start proving it.
I wasn't able to find a decent picture of the African xidachane, or wandering ghoul from Southern African tribes. Had to go with a Nkondi spirit Nail Sculpture. Not technically accurate, but as close to a Nkisi concept as I could muster in a quick Google Image search.
